Toby, who has lived in the town all his adult life, has been serving the people of Chesterfield since he was first elected in 2010 and has held a number of shadow ministerial positions.
Toby was joined by Anchor Chief Executive, Sarah Jones, and enjoyed a tour of Anchor’s Heather Vale care home and chatted with residents and care colleagues to find out about the range of care services available at the home.

We were delighted to host Toby at Anchor’s Heather Vale care home. I know the residents and team really enjoyed speaking with him and it was a great opportunity for Toby to see first-hand how our care colleagues are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and serving the local community.
Toby Perkins MP said:
It was wonderful to visit the Heather Vale care home recently to meet with the staff, residents and visiting relatives. Along with a tour of the home, I was able to witness some of the activities available to the residents who were very well looked after by the brilliant staff and care home manager, Paige. The residents’ needs and wants dictated the services on offer, making for a very happy home.
The care sector places a crucial role in our health service, and with demand ever-growing continues to face many challenges. Heather Vale is a great example of the value a not-for-profit provider can have in ensuring quality, person-centred care.
Anchor’s Heather Vale Care Home is meticulously finished to a high standard, set in a quiet village location and in its own beautiful grounds, providing first class care and facilities for up to 39 residents
