Read: Allwyn signs up to Levelling Up Goals
Allwyn has joined a number of UK businesses, universities and public sector organisations to sign up to the Levelling Up Goals and play its part in efforts to create a level playing field for equal opportunities across the UK.
The Levelling Up Goals, co-founded by Justine Greening, brings businesses and universities together to focus on key life stages, from early years to adulthood, and provide a benchmark to track progress. As a key part of the partnership, Allwyn will develop a Levelling Up Impact Report to map its activity against the 14 Goals.
Allwyn is the UK arm of SAZKA Group, Europe’s leading lottery operator. Led by Bid Chair, Sir Keith Mills, it is applying to become operator of The National Lottery under the 4th National Lottery licence competition currently being run by the Gambling Commission. The current operator, Camelot, has run the lottery since it was established in 1994.
Commenting on Allwyn’s partnership, Justine Greening said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Sir Keith Mills and the team at Allwyn on its levelling up work and helping the organisation have maximum impact on communities across the UK. Allwyn takes the standpoint that lotteries should drive considerable social value and it has a real chance to spread opportunity through its work. The Levelling Up Goals are now used by a variety of rganisations and provide a clear benchmark to measure progress against. Only by working together can we truly achieve the ultimate aim of a levelled up UK.”
Sir Keith Mills, Bid Chairman of Allwyn, added: “At Allwyn, as part of SAZKA Group, we make lotteries better so that they can serve as a force for good. Through the Levelling Up Goals architecture, we look forward to working closely with Justine Greening, her team, and the other committed businesses and universities, on this joint ambition to make a positive impact to our communities.”
