'Unleashing Britain's Potential - How can the UK get older workers back into employment' with Guy Opperman MP

The Purpose Coalition is set to host a seminar to explore, 'Unleashing Britain's Potential - How can the UK get older workers back into employment' with the Minister of State for Employment, Guy Opperman MP.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, getting people back into work is a major challenge for the UK economy. Since March 2020, the number of people 'economically inactive' has risen to more than nine million, or one-in-five working age adults, but we know from Purpose Coalition Members that employers too often face barriers to recruitment and training. This panel event with the Employment Minister is an important opportunity to explore what more the government can do to help employers address the skills gap.

The event will take place on Wednesday 25th January 2023 from 09:30, at a Central Westminster venue (to be confirmed closer to the time due to security restrictions) and will be chaired by LBC's Iain Dale. Informal networking will take place from 9:30am onwards, with the main panel event beginning at 10:00am.

Places are limited so please register below, and get in touch with brooke@thisispurpose.com should you have any questions.
